You and your family are cordially invited to attend VCUís Open House for prospective students. Our spring Open House events will be held on Feb. 20.
RSVP online by Feb. 13, 2016. If special accommodations are needed due to a disability, contact the VCU Welcome Center at (804) 827-2000 or (800) 841-3638 at least two weeks before the Open House.
Open House will be a day for you to learn more about VCU’s outstanding academic programs as well as to get a sense of student life on campus. Experience the diversity that makes VCU a special place!
You will have the opportunity to:
- Learn about academic programs and support services
- Meet faculty members and student services staff
- Obtain information about admissions and financial aid
- Tour the campus and residence halls
General schedule of activities
A full schedule of open house activities will be given to you when you arrive at the VCU Siegel Center. Below is a synopsis of what you can expect when you attend this event.
Check-in for Open House will be at the VCU Stuart C. Siegel Center from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. The day’s activities will begin with a student resource fair at 7:30 a.m. and welcoming remarks will begin at 9 a.m. We hope that you and your family will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about VCU.
7:30 to 8:30 a.m. – Siegel Center, Lobby
Student Information Resource Fair
7:30 to 9 a.m. – Siegel Center, Verizon Wireless Arena
Speak with faculty and staff from various offices on campus that provide services and resources to students, including:
9 to 9:45 a.m. – Siegel Center, Verizon Wireless Arena
VCU students and and administrators will welcome you to campus. Afterwards, VCU Student Admissions Ambassadors will escort you to your academic sessions.
Academic overviews and breakout sessions
9:45 a.m. to noon – Various locations
Meet with faculty and students in your academic areas of interest.
Noon to 2:30 p.m. – Various locations
Take a tour of campus, visit a residence hall, attend special sessions about the admission process, applying for financial aid, transferring to VCU, and studying abroad. Have lunch in the Market 810 Dining Center or one of several on–campus dining facilities. Meet with admissions staff and student ambassadors.

Free parking is available in the West Broad Street Parking Deck, located at 1111 W. Broad St.

Because classes will be in session, overnight accommodations on campus are not available. However, several hotels within close proximity to campus offer special rates to VCU visitors.

If you are not able to join us for VCU Open House and you want to visit another time, you may attend an Office of Admissions information session hosted Monday through Friday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., and Saturdays at 10:30 a.m., except on holidays and holiday weekends.
