VCU Open House 2012
Plan to attend our Open House!
You and your family are cordially invited to attend VCU Open House 2012 for prospective students at Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012.
Open House will be a day for you to learn more about VCU’s outstanding academic programs as well as to get a sense of student life on campus. Experience the diversity that makes VCU a special place!
You will have the opportunity to:
- Learn more about academic programs and support services
- Meet faculty members and student services staff
- Obtain information about financial aid and admissions
- Tour the campus and residence halls
RSVP
We are no longer taking RSVPs for the February 4 Open House event; however, if you wish to attend, you are welcome to do so. Simply come to the Siegel Center on Saturday and register when you arrive.
General schedule of activities
Check-in for Open House will be at the VCU Stuart C. Siegel Center from 7:30 to 8:45 a.m. The day’s activities will begin with welcoming remarks at 9 a.m. We hope that you and your family will take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about VCU.

Student Information Resource Fair
7:30 to 9 a.m. – Siegel Center, Verizon Wireless Arena
Speak with faculty and staff from various offices on campus that provide services and resources to students, including Admissions, Campus Police, Dining Services, Disability Support Services, Financial Aid, Global Education Office, Military Science and Leadership, Office of Multicultural Student Affairs, Parking and Transportation, Recreational Sports, Residential Life and Housing, Student Accounting, Student Computing, University Career Center, University College, University Counseling Services, University Student Commons and Activities, University Student Health Services, VCUCard Services, VCU Libraries and more!

Academic overviews
10 a.m. to noon – various locations
During the academic overviews, you will have the opportunity to meet with faculty, staff and students in the school or college that houses the major you’re interested in studying. You can attend more than one academic overview if you have more than one interest.
Tours and special sessions
10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – various locations
During the late morning and afternoon, there will be a number of events taking place, including an academic session about our pre-health sciences advising and options in health careers, campus tours and tours of Art, Engineering and Life Sciences facilities. The School of the Arts will conduct portfolio review sessions during the afternoon. There will be sessions about admissions, military science and leadership, on-campus housing, The Honors College, study abroad and financial aid during the afternoon as well. The day’s sessions end around 2:30 p.m.

Cannot attend?
If you are not able to join us for VCU Open House 2012 and you want to visit another time, you may attend an Office of Undergraduate Admissions information session hosted Monday through Saturday at 10:30 a.m., except on holidays and holiday weekends.
