About the Office of Undergraduate Admissions
What brought you to VCU?
I grew up in Richmond and have since returned after attending college way too far away! I was a tour guide in college and craved being back in a collegiate environment. I felt VCU was the perfect place for me.
What do you enjoy most about meeting prospective VCU students?
I enjoy not only being a source of knowledge for students, but a friendly face they feel comfortable asking questions.
What are three things we’ll find in your suitcase?
A book (probably more than one), my computer and my Tempur-Pedic pillow.
Best part of your job:
Each and every day is so different. You never know who you’ll meet or where you’ll end up. In fact, someone just walked in and handed me a made-from-scratch organic cupcake. Who can beat that?
What’s your favorite place on campus?
I love wandering around the School of the Arts buildings and seeing what the incredibly talented students are working on.
About me
What don’t most people know about you?
I have two adorable nieces from Swaziland.
What are you reading right now?
A really silly ‘chick-lit’ book that I don’t even remember the title of.
What’s your perfect Sunday afternoon?
Lunch with friends in Carytown, followed by a trip to the park with my pug Oscar.
What did you want to be when you grew up?
I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I’m not giving up on that yet!
What do you order at Starbucks?
Anything sweet with a lot of caffeine.
Who inspires you?
Anybody who is passionate about what they believe in and doesn’t sit down when challenged.
