VCU consists of two campuses — the Monroe Park Campus, located in the picturesque early 20th-century residential neighborhood called the Fan District, and the MCV Campus, located in Richmond’s thriving downtown financial area.

On weekdays, Monday through Friday, visitors are invited to park in either the West Broad Street or the Bowe Street decks. Directions to these decks follow below. These decks will be closed on weekends; however, on weekends on-street parking is free in the city. Visitors who plan to attend a Saturday information session are welcome to park on the streets near and around the VCU Welcome Center. In addition, visitors planning to attend an information session on a Saturday may park in the HB Parking Lot [PDF], located on the corner of North Harrison and West Broad streets.

Arriving from the east by Interstate 64W

• Take Exit 190 for Fifth Street and Downtown/Coliseum.
• Turn right at the eighth traffic light, onto West Main Street.
• Follow West Main Street for 11 blocks to Belvidere Street and turn right.
• Follow Belvidere Street for three blocks to West Broad Street and turn left.
• Remain on West Broad Street for four blocks until North Harrison Street and turn left onto North Harrison Street.
• The entrance to the VCU West Broad Street Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the left.

• If the West Broad Street Parking Deck is full, remain on Shafer Street for one-half block until you reach West Grace Street.
• Turn right onto West Grace Street.
• Follow West Grace Street for one block to North Harrison Street and turn right.
• Follow North Harrison Street for one block to West Broad Street and turn left.
• Remain on West Broad Street for two blocks until Bowe Street.
• Turn right onto Bowe Street.
• The entrance to the Bowe Street Parking Deck is at the end of the block on the right.

Arriving from the north by Interstate 95S

• Take Exit 79 to right toward Powhite Parkway (Route I-195).
• Bear left off the ramp onto I-195.
• Take the exit for North Hamilton and West Broad streets, turn right.
• Follow North Hamilton Street to Monument Avenue (second light) and turn left.
• Follow Monument Avenue east; its name will change to West Franklin Street.
• Follow West Franklin Street to North Harrison Street and turn left.
• Drive one and one-half blocks on North Harrison Street.
• The VCU West Broad Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

• If the West Broad Street Parking Deck is full, remain on North Harrison for one-half block until you reach West Broad Street.
• Turn left onto West Broad Street.
• Remain on West Broad Street for two blocks until Bowe Street.
• Turn right onto Bowe Street.
• The entrance to the Bowe Street Parking Deck is at the end of the block on the right.

Arriving from the west by Interstate 64E

• Take Exit 186 toward the Powhite Parkway.
• Take the exit for North Hamilton and West Broad streets, turn right.
• Follow North Hamilton Street to Monument Avenue (second left) and turn left.
• Follow Monument Avenue east; its name will change to West Franklin Street.
• Follow West Franklin Street to North Harrison Street and turn left.
• Drive one and one-half blocks on North Harrison Street.
• The VCU West Broad Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

• If the West Broad Street Parking Deck is full, remain on North Harrison for one-half block until you reach West Broad Street.
• Turn left onto West Broad Street.
• Remain on West Broad Street for two blocks until Bowe Street.
• Turn right onto Bowe Street.
• The entrance to the Bowe Street Parking Deck is at the end of the block on the right.

Arriving from the south by Interstate 95N

• Take Exit 74A onto the Downtown Expressway (I-195) - the exit ramp is on the James River Bridge.
• Drive one mile and take the Belvidere Street exit. There is a 25-cent toll at the Belvidere Street exit.
• Drive two blocks along Canal Street to North Belvidere Street.
• Turn right onto North Belvidere Street.
• Follow North Belvidere Street for four blocks to West Broad Street.
• Turn left onto West Broad Street.
• Remain on West Broad Street for three blocks until Shafer Street and turn left onto Shafer Street.
• The entrance to the VCU West Broad Street Parking Deck/Welcome Center is on the right.

• If the West Broad Street Parking Deck is full, remain on Shafer for one-half block until you reach West Grace Street.
• Turn right onto West Grace Street.
• Follow West Grace Street for one block to North Harrison Street.
• Turn right onto North Harrison Street.
• Follow North Harrison Street for one block to West Broad Street.
• Turn left onto West Broad Street.
• Remain on West Broad Street for two blocks until Bowe Street.
• Turn right onto Bowe Street.
• The entrance to the Bowe Street Parking Deck is at the end of the block on the right.

Arriving from the east or south by Interstate 64W/95N

• Take Exit 76A for Chamberlayne Avenue.
• At the next light, turn right on West Leigh Street.
• At the next light, turn left on North Belvidere Street.
• Drive six blocks to West Main Street.
• Turn right on West Main Street.
• At the first light, turn left on South Laurel Street.
• Entrance to West Main Street Parking Deck is on the right.

Arriving from the west or north by Interstate 64E/95S

• Take Exit 76B for Belvidere Street.
• At the first light, turn left on West Leigh Street.
• At the next light, turn right on North Belvidere Street.
• Drive six blocks to West Main Street and turn right.
• At the first light, turn left on South Laurel Street.
• Entrance to West Main Street Parking Deck is on the right.
