VCU to observe Memorial Day holiday

The university will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday from Saturday, May 26, 2012 through Monday, May 28, 2012. The VCU Welcome Center will be closed and information sessions and campus tours will not be held during this time. Information sessions and campus tours will resume on Tuesday, May 29, 2012.

University to host high school graduations

On the mornings of Tuesday, June 5 through Saturday June 9; Monday, June 11 through Thursday, June 14; and on Saturday, June 16, the university will host local high school graduations in the VCU Siegel Center.

Travel will be significantly impacted during this time; it is strongly encouraged that you allow for additional travel time due to increased traffic.

On these dates, parking in the West Broad Street and Bowe Street parking decks will be reserved for graduation participants only. Welcome Center visitors should park in either the West Main Street Parking Deck (http://www.vcu.edu/maps/acmap/wmpark/wmpark.htm) or the West Cary Street Parking Deck (http://www.vcu.edu/maps/acmap/carydeck/carydeck.htm). Staff in the Welcome Center will be able to validate guest parking for these decks.

VCU to observe Independence Day holiday

The university will be closed for the Independence Day holiday on Wednesday, July 4, 2012; information sessions and campus tours will not be held. Information sessions and campus tours will resume on Thursday, July 5, 2012.

Daily sessions

Prospective students and their families are invited to attend one of our daily information sessions. We offer campus tours and information sessions (también en español) Monday through Saturday except on holidays and holiday weekends. The information sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. at the Welcome Center, followed by an hour-long walking tour of the Monroe Park Campus.

The tour does not include a visit to a residence hall room, but information about each of the residence halls, including general descriptions and floor plans, can be found on the Web at http://www.housing.vcu.edu/halls_villages.html. In addition, photographs of residence hall rooms are available in the Welcome Center.

Appointments are not required for individual families who wish to attend our daily 10:30 a.m. information session Monday through Saturday.

Group visits

Appointments are not required for individual families who wish to attend our daily 10:30 a.m. information session Monday through Saturday. Groups of 10 or more people are required to make a reservation.
